The AutoDrive Challenge™ II is a four-year competition coordinated by General Motors and the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) in which college teams create and test a Level 4 autonomous vehicle. RSE Students work to meet the requirements of each objective throughout the academic year until competition time in June. Competition week is full of challenges that take place at the University of Michigan’s MCity test track in Ann Arbor, MI. Written reports, presentations, and dynamic challenges are all scored into a total point count. MTU’s team, Prometheus Borealis, took home a number of trophies in year one of the competition!
